You can see the stacked windows that we used in order to have fixed safety glass on the bottom, as well as cost effective top swing windows on top. This allows you to open up all top windows as well as the massive 2m x 3m sliding doors in the summer.

Beautiful 2m x 3m sliding doors complete the open feel of this expansion.

The clients for this project wanted to extend their living room over the south terrace of their house. We talked about designs for the windows and doors, and then chose the final look. After some consideration it was decided to remove the existing ceiling trusses and create a vaulted ceiling.

Plans were submitted to, and approved by, the Kommune and work began. I reinforced the peak of the roof with an engineered beam, installed new ceiling rafters, and removed the old roof trusses in order to create a new and beautiful vaulted ceiling with heights up to 4 metres.

A sliding glass door was installed between the existing living room and the new vinterhage. Both the East and West walls were closed in with gorgeous 3 metre wide sliding glass doors, and the South facing wall was closed in with 4 fixed pane windows and 4 top-swing windows, to give the room 270 degrees of sunlight year-round.
